As a leader in the Body of Christ I believe it will be beneficial and helpful to share my personal testimony here of God’s mercy and faithfulnes towards me. As an Apostle of King Jesus I am calling forth a generation of young Apostles, an army of at least 7,000 who have not bowed their knee to Ahab and Jezebel, to take up their cross(Matt. 10:38) and begin to MOVE into the unreached nations(4.4 BILLION) with the Everlasting Gospel, Revelation 14:6. I pray as you read your spirit will be edified and encouraged!
I WAS BORN FOR WAR
When my parents adopted me at the age of 2 months old King Jesus instructed them to name me Joshua, after the fearless general who captured and killed 31 Nephilim kings and seized their lands, Joshua 12:9-24.
So I was set apart from my mother’s womb by King Jesus and called by His grace, Galatians 1:15. It was a Miracle that I was not aborted.
I grew up in a Christian home, my father and my mother taught me and my siblings about Jesus Christ as babies. Before sleeping each night my father would read to us stories about Jesus Christ as he tucked us into bed. I was always in church, my father was an ordained reverend with the Baptist denomination so we attended church about three times a week and from an early age I read the Bible and memorized scripture. At the age of 8 years old I prayed the “Sinners Prayer” and I was Baptized in Water.
In the summer of 1998 at the age of 13 I attended a large Baptist youth conference in Oklahoma City, one evening they did a theatrical skit with a theme of Global Evangelism. The dramatic skit consisted of several children dressed up in costumes representing various cultures from around the world. All the lights in the auditorium were dimmed. Each costumed child on the stage held a candle in their hands and one by one they lit them and then a spotlight was shone on them as they asked aloud “Who will come and preach the Gospel to me?” I distinctly remember one child in the costume of a young girl from Afghanistan, and as she lit her candle I was so moved. At the conclusion of the skit they gave an “Altar Call” for all the kids in the audience who would commit to give their lives as “missionaries” to go into the nations with the Light of the Gospel. I was sitting in the balcony with my class and I began to cry and I went down towards the front and I promised God that I would be a “missionary” when I became an adult. I didn’t know what that would require, I thought it would mean that one day I would move to Africa and live in a hut, since that’s the stereotypical picture many Americans have in their minds of preaching the Gospel in the nations. But I remember that day had a dramatic impact on me for a long time.
Even though I always believed in King Jesus I never experienced Miracles or even felt the Presence of God. My church was “cessationist”. I was also very worldly growing up. I enjoyed listening to gangster rap and I used foul language. When I graduated high school I joined the United States Marine Corps and truly that was my real introduction to the world, I experimented with smoking and alcohol and went to clubs etc. After I left the Marines I moved to Miami Beach, Florida and I began to work at a club. I began to smoke heavily and also experimented with drugs. It wasn’t until I was 21 that I seriously recommitted to follow Christ and regularly attended a Calvary Chapel as a young adult. In January 2006 I was invited to a small “Charismatic” church in Miami Beach and it was there I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues.
Upon receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit I immediately knew that I would serve King Jesus for the remainder of my life. Everything completely changed for me, I began to hear the voice of God for the first time in in my life. I began to feel His Presence every day. I began to see visions King Jesus and visions of angels and heavenly creatures. Right away I began to heal the sick and perform Miracles at my job and on the streets. I even began to cast out demons! I was ON FIRE! Not satisfied with this, one year after I had received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit I quit my job, I had been working at a restaurant at the time, and I began to preach the Gospel fulltime in Miami Beach. I never looked back. 14 years later I have taken up my cross into 19 nations to bring Salvation to the lost and dying. The title Apostle comes from a Greek word meaning “one sent with authority”, King Jesus sternly warned me that the destiny of entire nations would be put on pause until I obey and go proclaim the Kingdom to them. He told me that He would be with me as He was with His servant Moses.
Life is so short and I wouldn’t want to waste it on anything other than extending the boundaries of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth through the preaching of the Gospel message. I’ve been forgiven of so much and so I love Jesus Christ so much! I live in Him and He lives in me, and though I have paid a tremendous price to carry the Testimony of Jesus, I am so thankful that He has counted me worthy to experience the power of His resurrection and to do His works here on earth.
Your support and contributions will enable my wife and I to continue to preach the Gospel to unbelievers.
